Rabbi Engels Yeshiva
“Rabbi Engel’s Yeshiva is a small makom Torah in Jerusalem led by Rabbi Daniel Engel. The yeshiva focuses on serious Torah learning together with personal growth, honesty and responsibility. In learning, the emphasis is on clarity and truth, with bochurim encouraged to get deeply involved in the sugya, develop their own questions and ideas, and turn “a sugya” into “my sugya.” Alongside the learning, Rabbi Engel gives regular Hashkafa and Mussar shiurim, with a strong focus on applying Torah to everyday life and interpersonal relationships. The yeshiva also has Onegs and Shabbatons where bochurim can speak openly and explore their thoughts and experiences. The yeshiva is suited to bochurim looking for a serious Torah environment with close guidance and a strong emphasis on becoming capable and confident Bnei Torah. Rabbi Shmuel Gordon, who previously served for 25 years as Menahel Ruchni at Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim in Queens, is part of the hanhalah, and Rabbi Avi Weiss is also on staff and works with the senior bochurim through an advanced chaburah. The daily schedule includes three sedarim, mussar, halacha and regular shiurim.”
