Ohr Samayach J101
“J101 is a ten-month program for Jewish college students and young professionals who want to explore Judaism in depth. It is geared toward guys coming from a college or professional background, including those with little or no previous religious background. The program combines serious Jewish learning with an Israel experience, conversational Hebrew and, as part of J101, a three-month part-time internship in the student's professional field. The atmosphere is very much Ohr Somayach: intellectually focused, open and personal, with an emphasis on understanding Judaism rather than assuming a background in it. Students come from a wide range of backgrounds and are looking to build a deeper connection to Jewish life while continuing to think seriously about their education, career and future.”
