Netiv Aryeh
“Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh in Jerusalem is a post–high school yeshiva for English-speaking boys looking for a serious year (or more) of growth in learning, set right at the Kotel. The student body is mostly Modern Orthodox and Religious Zionist, with many coming from solid day-school backgrounds in the US, UK, Canada and similar communities. It tends to attract boys who are already fairly grounded in observance but want to deepen their Gemara skills, broaden their Torah knowledge, and sharpen their identity with Eretz Yisrael. The style is structured but flexible, with different tracks and levels so stronger and weaker learners are both placed appropriately. There’s a mix of independent chevruta learning and shiurim, with rebbeim who are used to working closely with students rather than lecturing at them from a distance. The vibe is often described as “serious but not rigid,” with space for personal pace, questions, and building a real relationship with learning rather than just covering material.”
