Midrash Shmuel

Jerusalem, Jerusalem

Midrash Shmuel is an English-speaking Litvish yeshiva in Shaarei Chesed, Jerusalem, headed by Rabbi Binyomin Moskovits. The yeshiva has boys from a wide range of backgrounds and offers a fairly open and welcoming environment. There are a number of different shiurim and learning options, allowing boys with different levels and learning styles to find the right place for themselves. The yeshiva puts a lot of emphasis on knowing each boy personally and helping him find his place in the Beis Medrash. The learning is serious, with a focus on Gemara, learning skills and developing independence in learning. At the same time, the atmosphere is less rigid, with different types of boys learning together and a range of activities and interests outside the Beis Medrash.
