Fishers
“Fischer's is a post-high-school yeshiva in Moshav Matityahu. It is mainly for boys who want to stay in a serious Torah environment but may not have done well in a more typical yeshiva setting. The boys come from different backgrounds, and many have had some sort of struggle along the way, whether with learning, school, social issues, Yiddishkeit or other personal issues. The yeshiva puts a lot of focus on the individual boy and on building a good relationship with him. There is a normal yeshiva learning schedule and serious Torah learning, but the atmosphere is more relaxed and open than in many traditional yeshivas. There is also a strong therapeutic side, with therapists and therapy groups available for boys who need them. Outside of learning, there are trips, Shabbos programs, sports, a gym, basketball, music and other activities. There are also options such as guitar lessons, yoga and a farm program. Overall, it's a warm and accepting yeshiva for boys who need more flexibility and individual attention, while still wanting to be part of a real Torah yeshiva.”
