Yeshivat Lev Tel Aviv – Shir Le'Neriya
“Yeshivat Lev Tel Aviv – Shir Le'Neriya is an Aish HaTorah-affiliated Hesder yeshiva in central Tel Aviv. It is primarily for Israeli young men combining Torah learning with IDF service, with a separate Mahal Hesder track for overseas students who want to serve in the IDF. The yeshiva attracts students from a range of backgrounds and has an open, personal atmosphere, with students given flexibility in their learning and encouraged to develop their own connection to Torah and Jewish life. The Tel Aviv setting and connection to wider Israeli society are a noticeable part of the yeshiva's character. The yeshiva is led by Rabbi Nir Yaakov Mass and includes learning in Gemara, Halacha, Tanach and Jewish thought alongside preparation for and service in the army. It is **not a typical gap-year yeshiva**. For overseas students, the Mahal track begins with four months of learning followed by 17 months of IDF service.”
