Ateres Yerushalayim (AJ)
“AJ is an English-speaking post-high-school yeshiva in Ramot for boys looking for a year of Torah learning in a more relaxed and personal setting. The learning is on different levels, with a focus on Gemara skills and becoming more independent in learning, together with halacha, hashkafa, mussar, Jewish history and life skills. The Rabbeim have close relationships with the boys and the yeshiva puts a lot of emphasis on helping each student find his level and continue growing. The atmosphere is warm, informal and social, with regular trips, sports, Shabbosim and activities with the Rabbeim. It is a good fit for a boy who wants a serious year in Israel but may not be looking for a very intense or high-pressure yeshiva environment.”
